The need for transformation in procurement began with a pivotal question from Tim Cook, then CPO of Apple Inc., in 1998: “How can we grow profitably without the right suppliers?” This challenge is still relevant today, as leaders must navigate the complexity of selecting suppliers that can grow alongside the business and deliver products at a cost that drives success. Compounded by disruption, fierce competition, and a rapidly shifting supply-demand landscape fuelled by digitalisation, the task has become even more daunting.
Strategic Sourcing has evolved from a tactical function into a key strategic priority. As it moves beyond traditional purchasing, it has become central to top leadership decisions.
This program explores how businesses can manage variability, uncertainty, and risk, demonstrating how strategic sourcing drives growth and mitigates losses. By integrating key principles and use cases, participants will gain a clear understanding of how to build a sustainable growth foundation through effective sourcing strategies.
