PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Communication Excellence in Leadership program provides executives with the essential skills and guided practice to master fundamental business communication concepts, including planning, writing, and presenting. Participants will learn to manage and lead effectively by organising and executing successful business communication strategies.
The program explores a unique side of charismatic communication—the content of the speech. In the first part, participants will learn how to frame a message through the depiction of values, the future, the individual’s ability to achieve the vision, the collective power of the group, and the leader as a role model.
In the second part, participants will understand which rhetorical techniques are most effective for conveying their message. The third part covers the key attributes and behaviours commonly seen in charismatic leaders. Finally, the program explores the uses of language that can diminish the perceived power of the speaker.

Dr Ravindra Dey
Professor and Head of Organisational Behaviour Xavier Institute of Management & Research (XIMR)
Ravindra Dey has more than 20 years of experience in the corporate and academic sectors. He specialises in Organisational Behaviour, Organisation Development, Human Resource Development and Competency Assessment. He has led programs on a wide range of topics in the field of behavioural sciences, HRD, organisation development and management within the organisation.
Some of the training/consulting assignments he has are Organisational Effectiveness, Performance Development, Strategy and Vision, Customer Service Excellence, Customer Relations Orientation, Conflict Resolution, Negotiation Skills, Personality Development, Communication and Interpersonal Relationship Workshop, Development and Assessment Centre.
In the corporate sector, Mr Dey has worked as Vice President (HR & Admin), EWDL (Indore, India), General Manager – HR, TCGRE (Mumbai, India), DGM-HR, Wockhardt (Mumbai, India) and Head of HR, OMCI (Mumbai, India). Currently, he is pursuing the Fellow Program in Management from the Academy of HRD, Ahmedabad, India. He is actively engaged with consulting and training work in the corporate, education and social development sectors. He has published research papers in many reputed journals.
