Solid finance knowledge is essential for all functional leaders, not just CFOs. Understanding income statements and balance sheets is crucial for enhancing business confidence and maximising stakeholder value. However, research shows that many professionals lack the financial management skills to advance to leadership positions. They don’t have a strong grasp of the latest financial concepts and practices or hands-on experience in financial analysis.
The Executive Program in Global Strategic Finance is designed to address this problem. This course is built for executives who want to master complex financial ideas in a simple way and gain a comprehensive overview of the financial practices they will encounter in their roles. Ultimately, the program aims to help participants become better decision-makers in the financial world.
Throughout the program, you will develop the strong foundational finance knowledge you need to upskill beyond accounting and become a frontrunner for future leadership roles.
This program is offered by SP Jain School of Global Management in partnership with Pearson India Education Services.

Module 1 introduces participants to the core principles and tools used to manage value creation. This includes the three pillars of value creation: financing decisions, investment decisions and business decisions. In addition, the module will teach you how to construct and interpret balance sheets and income statements.
In this module, you will learn the techniques you should use to assess the financial health of a firm, prepare for its future and enhance its chances of survival and success. This module also delves further into the financial diagnostics and managerial tools introduced in Module 1.
Module 3 teaches participants how managers can maximise a firm’s value through sound investment decisions. It examines the Net Present Value (NPV) rule in detail and how to apply it to decision-making and some alternative approaches. Finally, you will also learn how to assess an investment proposal’s capacity to create value.
This module explains how to make financing decisions that maximise value for a business. It looks at financial markets as a source of cash and examines their role in value creation. Module 4 also explores how to make financing decisions that create value through capital structures that maximise market value and minimise the cost of capital.
The program closes with Module 5, which focuses on how to make value-creating business decisions. The module recaps the various models and techniques used to value firms before looking at the comprehensive framework to identify, measure and manage risks. Module 5 also examines international financial management and summarises the analytical framework underlying value creation.
Often, HR gets blamed for rigidly implementing legacy policies with no consideration for how the organisation and outside world are changing. But today’s modern employees demand agility in the way HR itself is managed. They also seek to play a part in shaping and influencing the policies that impact them. This module explores ways for HR to continuously improve and adapt to meet tomorrow’s needs today.
